Asia Trip Day 0: Flight to HK (12/18/17)

We had finished packing our stuff, and had dropped Offers at friend's place yesterday. We left our home around 11 pm, and it takes about an hour to get to Logan Airport: Orange line to Downtown Crossing, Red line to South Station, Silver line to Logan Airport Terminal.

We boarded plane around 2 am and flew to 15 hours to HK airport. This flight didn’t actually feel as long as I thought it would. I was able to sleep a few hours, but non-continuously. On the in-flight entertainment, I watched the rebooted Power Rangers and Meow (a strange Cantonese movie about an alien warrior cat posing as a house-cat).

In between those, I played on my 3DS (Pokemon Ultra Moon) and the in-flight Reversi (or Othello, as the board game version we have), and was able to win maybe 2 times, probably because I’m bad. In the long times without turbulence, it would be easy to forget that we were thousands of feet in the air over the middle of the ocean.

The in-flight food was decent, and it was interesting to try for the first time. However it was nothing special or glamorous. Gordon Ramsay commented before that he'd never eat airline food because of the conditions that they are stored in. Well he wasn't on my flight or anything so I found it fine.
